What to do After Reporting Fraud

After contacting Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) and reporting the suspected event, we suggest you promptly consider taking the following, additional actions below if you believe you have been a victim of identity theft, and/or a data breach.

Contact Proper Authorities

Report your claim of identity theft along with any other suspicious and/or fraudulent activity to the proper local and/or state law enforcement authorities, including your state attorney general.

Contact Internet Crime Complaint Center

Report the fraud to the Internet Crime Complaint Center. Visit their website at https://www.IC3.gov.

Contact Federal Trade Commission (FTC)

Add Security Alert to Credit Reports

Place a security alert on your credit reports maintained by the three (3) national credit reporting agencies. Such an alert would require any lender to exercise additional diligence in any new or increased credit request. Adding a security alert to your credit report is a free service. Due to the increased protection these alerts provide, your ability to obtain quick credit (e.g., instant credit offers at retail stores) may be affected.
