Protecting Your Account Information

Communication

Farm Credit Services of America will never ask for your financial details or other confidential information through unsolicited emails, phone calls or messages. If you receive a communication purporting to be from Farm Credit Services of America and are asked for personal information, including passwords, do not respond. Call us directly for immediate assistance.

Customer Responsibility

We encourage our customers take an active role in protecting their information:

  • Always use strong, unique passwords for online accounts. Do not reuse passwords and usernames across multiple accounts.
  • Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to add an extra layer of security.
  • Update contact information regularly. Keeping contact information details up to date ensures that our Association can reach our customers promptly in case of suspicious activity.
  • Protect personal devices with antimalware software. Ensuring computers, tablets and smartphones are protected with antimalware software can help prevent unauthorized access to your devices and online accounts.
  • Be cautious of phishing attempts and unsolicited requests for personal information and/or pressure for urgent response and/or action. Do not click links from pop-up windows or contained within unsolicited emails or text messages.
  • Be cautious and do not engage with unknown callers requesting payment and/or sensitive information via phone.
  • Regularly monitor your accounts for any suspicious activity and contact us with questions.
