Governance Election Results

Customer elections are held annually for members of our Board of Directors and Nominating Committee.

2024 Election Overview

The Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) Board is comprised of 15 members: 12 elected by customer-stockholders and three appointed Directors. FCSAmerica voters elected three customer-stockholders to serve a four-year term beginning April 1, 2024.

Race 1: Jon Van Beek, Primghar, IA, was re-elected to the Board. He has served on the FCSAmerica Board since 2009. Brent Lorimor, Farragut, IA was the other candidate in this race.

Race 2: Jennifer Zessin, Madison, NE, received the highest number of votes, but she is ineligible to serve on the Association Board because she became an AgriBank FCB Director effective March 5, 2024. Therefore, there is no winner in Race 2. The FCSAmerica Board will determine how they want to address filling the resulting Board vacancy. Gordon Luebbe, Utica, NE, was the other candidate in this race.

Race 3: Cris Miller, Spearfish, SD, was re-elected to the Board. He has served on the FCSAmerica Board since 2012. Laron Krause, Clear Lake, SD, was the other candidate in this race.

Board Appointment: The FCSAmerica Board has reappointed Nick Jorgensen, Ideal, SD as a stockholder Director with a 4-year term effective April 1, 2024. Jorgensen owns and operates Jorgensen Land and Cattle Partnership with his father, cousin and uncle. The family grows multiple crops, has a registered Angus cow herd and commercial Angus bull operation, and provides guided pheasant hunts. Jorgensen was appointed to the FCSAmerica Board effective April 1, 2016.

The following customer-stockholders were elected to serve a one-year term on the Nominating Committee beginning April 1, 2024.
