Community Involvement

As a mission-driven financial cooperative, we work every day to strengthen the communities we and our customer-owners call home.

Our Commitment

Serving rural America means more than financing those who farm and ranch.

Our community involvement program focuses on ag education, hunger and nutrition, and rural disaster relief / essential services. We support these initiatives through employee volunteering, financial contributions and grants.

In our Communities

Volunteering is one of many ways we serve the communities we and our customer-owners call home. Each year, we allocate 16 hours of paid time to employees to volunteer at local organizations of their choosing. When employees volunteer as a group, we provide matching dollars to the organization.

We also match employees' direct donations to nonprofit organizations – up to $500 per employee per year to maximize their impact.

"We work to help our communities and we have a good time doing it. We know we're helping good causes and making a difference. Nonprofit organizations need volunteers and we’re happy to support them."

Scholarship Programs

We award two levels of scholarships each year to support the education of college students and high school seniors pursuing degrees important to the agricultural industry. Our $2,500 scholarships are offered at land grant universities in our four-state territory, as well as partnering colleges and universities. $2,000 scholarships are available at participating two-year community colleges. We also award a $2,000 scholarship to eight FFA high school seniors in each of our four states.
